Rock Installation in Kent, Ohio

For areas where traditional mulch isn't ideal—high-traffic zones, steep slopes, or low-maintenance landscapes—decorative rock provides a beautiful, long-lasting alternative. Melin Landscaping LLC installs decorative rock and stone for properties throughout Summit County and Portage County, creating landscapes that look polished year-round with minimal upkeep. Decorative rock comes in various sizes, colors, and textures, from smooth river rock to angular crushed stone. We help you select materials that complement your home's exterior and existing landscape features. Popular applications include foundation beds, drainage swales, pathways, borders, and dry creek beds. Unlike mulch that decomposes and requires annual replacement, quality rock installations maintain their appearance for years with minimal maintenance. Proper rock installation requires careful preparation. We install landscape fabric or weed barrier beneath the rock to prevent weed growth, ensure proper drainage, and calculate the correct depth and volume for your project. The result is a clean, contemporary look that stands up to Northeast Ohio's weather extremes while reducing your long-term landscape maintenance needs.
